01About these terms

These terms apply to customers using FixCron to discover repair shops, request prices, make bookings, exchange messages and view repair records. The platform operator is identified at the end of this page. Technician subscriptions and business workspace use are covered by separate terms.

By registering or submitting a request or booking after being presented with these terms, you agree to the applicable terms. You must be at least 18 and authorised to act for anyone whose device or information you submit. A parent or guardian should arrange repairs for a minor.

Service-specific information shown before confirmation, including the shop, repair scope, price and agreed service method, forms part of your arrangement with that shop. Nothing here removes mandatory Malaysian consumer rights.

02Your account and sign-in

Provide accurate contact details and keep your account and signed-in devices secure. Use only sign-in methods that are available on FixCron. Where Google sign-in is offered, Google authenticates your Google account; FixCron still manages your platform account and repair history.

You do not need to give a shop your FixCron or Google password or an account OTP. Report suspected unauthorised access promptly. Connecting another sign-in method requires the account checks provided by FixCron; matching email text alone is not authority to access someone else’s account.

03FixCron and independent repair shops

FixCron provides the website and tools for discovery, communication, bookings and repair records. Each shop is an independent service provider responsible for its diagnosis, repair work, parts, prices, availability and warranty commitments.

Listings, reviews and verification indicators help you assess a shop but do not guarantee a particular repair result. Read the shop’s current details and ask it about anything unclear before handing over your device.

04Price requests, quotes and bookings

Sending a price request asks a shop to respond. It does not by itself confirm a booking, take payment or reserve parts or an appointment. A displayed estimate may require inspection before the shop can confirm the final scope and price.

Review the model, repairs, parts or quality options, service method, appointment details, total and any stated charges before confirming. The shop must seek your agreement before carrying out additional work or a material price change that you have not authorised.

Only service methods offered by the selected shop are available. Availability and response times may vary. Keep agreed changes in the conversation or repair documents where possible.

05Paying for your repair

For the current customer repair flow, pay the shop directly at its counter using a method it accepts. FixCron does not collect, hold or transfer your repair payment through an online gateway or wallet.

Where the payment-reporting feature is available, select the confirmation only after you have actually paid. Your report remains separate from the shop’s confirmation that the money was received. A report alone does not mark a payment as verified.

The displayed balance reflects the shop’s payment records. Keep your receipt and contact the shop if an amount or status is wrong. Do not pay again solely because a confirmation is pending.

Prices are in MYR unless stated otherwise. Ask the shop to explain any inspection, service, delivery, tax or other charge before accepting it. Any future online payment option will have its own displayed terms before you use it.

06Changing or cancelling a booking

Contact the shop as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel. A cancellation request is not confirmation that work has stopped; confirm the current job status with the shop.

Any inspection fee, ordered-part cost or charge for authorised work already completed depends on what was disclosed and agreed and on applicable law. FixCron does not impose a blanket right for shops to keep payments or charge undisclosed cancellation fees.

07Preparing and collecting your device

Back up important data where possible, remove unnecessary sensitive information and tell the shop about relevant damage or previous repairs. Discuss any device-access requirements directly with the shop and use the least access needed; do not post device passcodes in platform chat.

Ask for the agreed repair scope and a handover record. Check the repair, accessories, invoice and warranty information when collecting the device. Agree collection arrangements and any disclosed storage conditions with the shop.

08Warranty, refunds and disputes

Repair and part warranties are provided by the shop according to the stated terms and applicable law. Ask what is covered, for how long, and how to make a claim. A platform status such as completed does not waive your statutory rights.

For repair faults, payment disagreements or a refund, contact the shop with your job reference and evidence first. Because repair payments go directly to the shop, the shop handles an agreed refund. FixCron support can help with platform records or reports, but cannot promise a shop’s refund or a resolution deadline.

You retain the right to approach the relevant Malaysian tribunal, regulator or court. Contacting support does not replace those rights or extend statutory time limits.

09Messages, reviews and acceptable use

Keep messages and reviews relevant and honest. Do not harass others, impersonate someone, publish private information, upload unlawful content, submit false payment reports or interfere with platform security.

You retain rights to content you submit. You allow FixCron to store, process and display it as needed to provide and protect the service. Submit only information and content you are entitled to share. Our branding, software and platform design remain protected.

We may restrict content or access for security risks, fraud, unlawful use or material breaches, with notice and an opportunity to respond where appropriate. Report misuse to support.

10Availability, account closure and changes

Maintenance, network failures and third-party services can interrupt access. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or a shop’s response time. We remain responsible for our own obligations under applicable law; these terms do not exclude rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

You may stop using FixCron or contact support to request account closure. Outstanding repair arrangements and lawful record-retention obligations may continue after closure. Our Privacy Policy explains data handling.

These terms are governed by Malaysian law. We will publish an updated version when terms change and give appropriate notice of material changes. A later update does not silently rewrite an already agreed repair price or scope.
